Today marks the end of Su***de Prevention Month, but don't let it be the end of your discussions and openness with kids about mental health and su***de.
Know the Warning Signs
Most children and teens who experience stress, sadness, or anxiety will not attempt su***de. However, it's important to pay attention to meaningful changes in behavior. Warning signs may include:

⚠️ Talking about feeling hopeless, trapped, alone, or like a burden
⚠️ Searching online for information about su***de or death
⚠️ Giving away important possessions or saying goodbye in unusual ways [prevention...liance.org]

If something feels different, trust your instincts and check in.
