Community events bring more than fun to Van- they help support our local economy!

With National Night Out, the Oil Festival and Parade, Community Fish Day, and downtown Trick-or-Treating coming up, there are plenty of reasons to gather and explore Van.

These events bring residents and visitors into town, creating opportunities to shop at local stores, dine at our restaurants, and discover our businesses.

Make plans to join the fun - and shop local while you're here! Every purchase helps keep Van growing.

Shop local. Support Van. ❤️

How many know the history of Van. The fall of 1929 was a big deal for Van. The Van Area Chamber of Commerce is 97 years old this fall as well. Let’s celebrate Van, our chamber and our school district that experienced massive changes because of what happened that fall.
Celebration starts with the scavenger hunt. This will be ready to go on Monday!
HAPPY HUNTING

💼❤️ VANDALS AT WORK!

Our Van High School seniors are proving that some of the most valuable learning happens beyond the classroom!

Through a new VHS Work-Study Program, our CTE department is connecting seniors with local employers where they can earn a paycheck, gain real-world experience, and build skills that will serve them long after graduation.

And according to their employers, our Vandals are making quite an impression! 👏

⭐ “Alex is one of our best employees.”

⭐ “We can always count on Addison.”

⭐ “Boe is one of our friendliest and most knowledgeable employees.”

⭐ “Kharizma is a valuable member of our team. We can count on her.”

THAT makes us Vandal Proud! ❤️

Led by Mrs. Lori Wilkinson and brought to life by CTE Director Jason Rose, the program currently has four local employers partnering with Van ISD — and we’re ready to GROW!

🎓 VHS SENIORS: Interested in earning money while gaining valuable work experience? Stop by the VHS Counseling Office to learn more.

🏢 LOCAL BUSINESSES: Need dependable employees AND want to invest in the future of our community? We would love to partner with you! Contact Lori Wilkinson at [email protected] for more information.

This is what happens when our schools and community work together — our students gain opportunities today that prepare them for success tomorrow.

Big Opportunities. Small-Town Relationships. Ready for What Comes Next.
