🇺🇸🎆 Happy Fourth of July from Vance Fire Department! 🎆🇺🇸

As we celebrate our nation’s independence with family, friends, fireworks, grilling, and time on the water, please make safety a priority.

🔥 Fireworks Safety
• Follow all local laws and regulations.
• Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby.
• Never allow children to handle fireworks without close adult supervision.
• Dispose of used fireworks properly by soaking them in water.

🍔 Grilling Safety
• Keep grills away from homes, decks, and combustible materials.
• Never leave a grill unattended while in use.
• Ensure propane connections are secure and leak-free.

🚤 Boating Safety
• Wear a life jacket and ensure there is one for every passenger.
• Check weather conditions before heading out.
• Operate your vessel responsibly and stay alert at all times.

🚫🍺 Don’t Drink and Drive—or Boat
If your celebration includes alcohol, make a plan before you go. Designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service, or stay where you are. Impaired driving and boating put lives at risk and can turn a holiday celebration into a tragedy.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe this Independence Day. Have fun, celebrate responsibly, and help make this Fourth of July a safe and memorable one for everyone.

🇺🇸 D-DAY REMEMBRANCE 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom changed the course of history and secured the liberties we enjoy today.

As firefighters, we understand the meaning of service, duty, and sacrifice. On this anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the heroes who answered the call when their nation needed them most.

We are forever grateful to the members of the Greatest Generation and all who served alongside them.

“Freedom is never free.”

Please join the members of the Vance Fire Department in remembering and honoring the heroes of D-Day.
