πŸ’œ PURPLE SOCKS. PURPLE SHOES. PURPLE SCARVES. PURPLE EVERYTHING! πŸ’œ

**Happy Purple Thursday, Clark County!**

Today, we're painting the town purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, joining communities across the country to make our support for survivors visible.

Because something as simple as wearing purple can send a powerful message: **You are seen. You are believed. You are not alone.**

Every splash of purple is a reminder that our community stands with survivors, that compassion matters, and that creating a future free from violence is a responsibility we share.

To everyone showing up in purple today, **thank you for choosing compassion over indifference and solidarity over silence.** πŸ’œ

πŸ“Έ We want to see your purple! Snap a photo, tag YWCA Clark County, and help us fill our feeds with a community united in support of survivors.

πŸ’œ Tomorrow is Purple Thursday!πŸ’œ

Clark County, it's time to get your purple ready!

Tomorrow, we're joining communities across the country in wearing purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a simple but powerful way to show survivors that they are not alone.

Whether it's a purple shirt, socks, earrings, or even shoelaces, every splash of purple sends the same message:

πŸ’œ You are seen.
πŸ’œ You are supported.
πŸ’œ You are believed.

When we show up together, we help build a community where survivors know they are surrounded by people who care.

πŸ“Έ **Join us tomorrow!** Wear your purple, snap a photo, and tag YWCA Clark County so we can share the collective strength of a community standing with survivors.

✨ **BIPOC Youth Summit 2026: Vibe & Thrive**
πŸ“… November 7–8
🌟 For BIPOC youth ages 13–18

Belonging doesn't happen by accident. It's something we create, nurture, and make space for. πŸ’›

When BIPOC youth have opportunities to connect with peers who share their lived experiences, learn from leaders who mirror their identities, and celebrate their cultures without reservation, something powerful happens.

Confidence grows. Friendships form. Voices become stronger. Young people begin to see not just who they are, but all that they can become.

That's why spaces like the BIPOC Youth Summit (BYS) matter.

Because youth empowerment isn't just about preparing the next generation to lead someday. It's about recognizing the leadership, creativity, wisdom, and power they already bring to our communities today.

❀️ 12,500 people. 12,500 stories. 12,500 reasons why this work matters.

Each year, YWCA Clark County serves more than 12,500 people across our community.

But behind that number are real people. Real stories. Real lives.

Survivors finding safety. Young people discovering their voices. Families building stability. Individuals finding connection, empowerment, and hope.

And while 12,500 is a big number, it's made up of thousands of individual moments of care, courage, resilience, and possibility.

Every little heart on this banner represents someone who has received services from YWCA Clark County. ❀️

We're reminded every day that our impact isn't just measured in numbers. It's measured in the lives we touch, the relationships we build, and the community we're creating together.

Because every heart represents a person. And every person matters.

Thank you for being part of a community that believes in safety, dignity, equity, and opportunity for all. ❀️

What would just **one week without violence** feel like?

Maybe it would feel like finally exhaling.

Like feeling safe in your own home. Like knowing your voice matters, your boundaries are respected, and your choices are yours to make.

Maybe it would mean children surrounded by care, consent, and respect. Learning that love should never be rooted in fear.

**That is the future we imagine. And it is the future we are working toward. Together.**

But we know that for far too many, this is not yet their reality.

This October, during **Domestic Violence Awareness Month**, we are holding space for both the world we envision and the realities survivors are navigating right now.

Because ending violence takes more than awareness. It takes action. It takes believing survivors, honoring their choices, teaching young people about healthy relationships, addressing barriers to safety, and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout October, we'll be honoring survivors, uplifting the advocates and community members who stand beside them, and sharing the many ways we can work toward a future free from violence.

And from **October 19–24**, we'll recognize **Week Without Violence**, inviting our community to imagine what safety, healing, and prevention can look like when we build them together.

πŸ’œ **Safety is not something we should have to earn. It is something we must build, together, every day.**

Join YWCA Clark County this October as we turn awareness into action.

Hey, Clark County πŸ‘‹ Have you noticed something new on your commute lately? πŸ‘€

All October long, YWCA Clark County is hitting the road with C-TRAN in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. πŸ’œ

You’ll find YWCA Clark County featured inside C-TRAN buses throughout our community, helping raise awareness about domestic violence and connecting our neighbors with resources for safety, equity, and hope.

Because reaching people with information and resources where they already are matters. And sometimes, an important message at the right moment can help someone know they’re not alone, and that support is available.

We’re grateful to C-TRAN for partnering with us to carry this message across Clark County all month long.

Moving people. Moving lives forward. πŸšŒπŸ’œ

Keep an eye out on your next ride!
