We’re excited to share that The Landing Pad opened August 2026. It’s a voluntary, peer‑run transitional program that supports vulnerable people as they’re released from the Department of Jail Services, working in close coordination with Clark County Community Services to ensure individuals have stable support as they move toward their next steps.

Many individuals leave jail while dealing with mental health needs, substance use challenges, and release times that can change without warning. Safe places to go are often limited. The Landing Pad helps fill some of that that gap by offering:

• 12 beds run by Coastal CAP peers with lived experience
• Short-term support between release and someone’s next step
• Referrals only through the Jail Programs Unit

It provides helpful additional resources for a vulnerable group releasing from our jail.

Jail Work Center Expansion Update 🚧

It’s been a busy month covering every corner of the site! Teams have wrapped up all topsoil and plantings and completed the primary security fencing. Gate installations are on track to finish by mid‑October.

Inside the facility, finishes are in full swing now that framing and drywall are complete. Teams are installing doors, security systems, ACT ceilings, polished floors, tile, and paint. Our MEP crews are tackling final connections and prepping for equipment startup.
