We know these cooler temperatures have everyone feeling like we're back to a "normal" Fall, but please stay fire aware! Polk County is still under a burn ban, and with our current dry conditions now comes low humidity and high winds. This combination can cause even the smallest of fires to spread at a rapid rate.

🔥 Please remain compliant with the burn ban
🔥 Be cautious with activities that could create sparks or flames
🔥 If you see something, say something! Report fires, smoke, or things that are out of the ordinary
🔥 Pray for rain!

As always, your Vandervoort volunteers are doing their best to stay ready to answer any call that comes their way.

A few of our officers had the opportunity to spend the morning with DeQueen Mena Education Service Cooperative - Cossatot River Early Learning Center to talk about fire safety! We always enjoy the chance to get out into our community to raise fire awareness and hang out with some pretty cool kiddos. Shoutout to Southwest EMS Corporate for joining in on the fun 🚒🚑
