The Vardaman Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone who came out to our Trunk or Treat tonight!

Even though the rain didn't cooperate with us, we still made the best of it and had a great time! We enjoyed seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes and all the smiling faces! 🎃🍬

We also want to thank everyone who helped make tonight possible and those who braved the weather to join us!

We appreciate all the support from our community and hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! ❤️🚒

The Vardaman Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a FREE Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31st, starting at 6:00 P.M.! 🍬👻

We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a fun night with us!

🚗 WE NEED TRUNKS!! 🚗

We would LOVE to have as many decorated trunks as possible!! Whether you're an individual, family, business, or organization, we encourage you to come out, decorate a trunk, and help us make this a great event for the kids in our community!

🏆 BEST DECORATED TRUNK WINS A PRIZE!! 🏆

This event is completely FREE and open to everyone! The more people and trunks we have, the better!

🍔🌭 HAMBURGER & HOTDOGS 🌭🍔

The Vardaman Volunteer Fire Department will be selling hamburger and hotdog plates on Friday, November 6th, starting at 4:00 PM in front of the Fire Department! This will be the Friday night before the Sweet Potato Festival!

🍔 Hamburger Plate — $10
🌭 Hotdog Plate — $8

All plates include fries and a canned drink! 🥤

Come out, grab some good food, and support your local volunteer fire department! 🚒🔥

The funds raised from this fundraiser will help us purchase equipment for our new fire truck once it arrives. Every plate purchased helps us better serve our community!

🚒🚓🚑 HAPPY NATIONAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY! 🚨

Today, we want to take a moment to thank all the men and women who dedicate their time to serving and protecting our communities!

A special thank you to our very own Vardaman Volunteer Fire Department members, our fellow Volunteer Fire Departments throughout Calhoun County, Vardaman Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, Calhoun County EMA, Baptist Ambulance Services, and our hardworking 911 dispatchers!

From answering calls in the middle of the night to leaving family gatherings and everyday activities, these individuals make sacrifices to be there when someone needs help.

We are proud to serve alongside each of these departments and agencies!

Thank you all for your dedication, sacrifices, and service to our communities! Happy First Responders Day! 🚒🚑🚓

🚧🎃 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🎃🚧

Burkett Avenue will be closed from N Main Street to Russell Avenue for a short period on October 31st, starting at 6:00 P.M., for the Vardaman Volunteer Fire Department’s Trunk-or-Treat!

This will give our trunk-or-treaters and their families a safe, fun place to walk from trunk to trunk and enjoy the festivities! 🍬👻

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone safe. We hope to see you there!

🚨 MISSISSIPPI BURN BAN LIST EXPANDS TO 54 COUNTIES 🚨

More counties were added to the statewide burn ban list today, bringing the total to 54. Conditions remain extremely dry, and more counties could be added at any time.

REMINDER ON THE RULES:
🚫 NO: Campfires, fire pits, burn barrels, brush/debris burning, or field fires.
✅ YES: Enclosed gas/propane grills, gas heaters, and charcoal grills.
