Lane Fire Authority Lane Fire Authority provides fire, life safety and emergency medical services (EMS) to 31,000 residents over 282 square miles in the scenic Willamette Valley.

Dedicated to Service. Santa Clara Fire and Lane Fire Authority boards are in a 190 agreement that consolidates services. Our team of career and volunteer personnel responded to approximately 7,400 calls last year, 81% of which were EMS-related. We operate out of 14 stations, 3 of which have career staffing 24/7. Administration is based at our Veneta Headquarters Station; ambulance service operations are out of the Irving station. The remaining stations are supported by dedicated volunteers. We operate an Advanced Life Support ambulance service with an Ambulance Service Area that includes several fire districts and extends into two other counties.

Lane Fire Authority crews are currently responding to a structure fire in the area of 90000 block of Sheffler Rd.

Multiple units are on scene working to contain the fire. Residents in the area may see emergency vehicles and smoke while crews operate.

Motorists should expect emergency vehicles in the area and use caution when traveling nearby.

Lane Fire Authority crews are working at the scene of a motor vehicle accident with downed high-voltage power lines in the block of 91000 Prairie Road.

Prairie Road is currently closed between Million Rd and Meadowview Rd for an extended period of time.

Motorists should expect emergency vehicles in the area and use caution when traveling nearby. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.

Yet again this morning, we are experiencing a heavy amount of drift smoke in the area from out of District fires. It is very hazy and we are getting multiple calls.

We have resources out in the field checking reports and all reports point to drift smoke so far.

If you see flames/ a defined column of smoke or observe someone burning, please continue to report these activities. General rule: Burning is still not allowed.
