⚠️UPDATE⚠️

The weather delayed today’s planned dredging operations. Operations will resume Wednesday, Dec 31st, closing the channel during the previously prescribed hours.

🛥️‼️NOTICE TO MARINERS‼️⛴️

TIGER PASS WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL VESSEL TRAFFIC MONDAY DECEMBER 29TH, 9:00AM TO 9:00PM AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE COAST GUARD STATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DREDGING OPERATION PIPELINE TAKING PLACE AT THE STATION’S BASIN. THE PIPELINE WILL CROSS THE ENTIRE CHANNEL. THE CHANNEL WILL REOPEN ONCE THE PIPELINE HAS BEEN SUNK TO THE BOTTOM.

CONCERNED TRAFFIC SHOULD CONTACT THE DREDGING VESSEL ON CH. 13/16, STATION VENICE (BY PHONE), OR CG SECTOR NEW ORLEANS ON CH. 22/16.

⚠️THE CHANNEL MAY APPEAR UNBLOCKED AT TIMES AS THE PIPELINE IS BEING SUNK, BUT THERE MAY BE DREDGE PIPE JUST BENEATH THE SURFACE OF THE WATER!⚠️

🐌PLEASE MAINTAIN SLOW SPEED AND A MINIMAL WAKE WHILE OPERATING IN THE AREA FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, THE SAFETY OF THE CREWS WORKING, AND SAFETY OF OTHER MARINERS.🐢

NOTE: The dredging company’s goal is to keep one side of the channel open to traffic as much as possible, but there will be extended periods that the entire channel may be blocked. If in question, contact the dredging vessel to ensure passing is safe!teyiyg thw
