For our undead visitors to the unholy grounds of Eternal Rest Cemetery ... due to many requests about this year's event, I needed to make an official posting about our status. This year's Halloween event will not be happening.

There are many reasons it did not come together this year ... but the idea of it coming back next year will depend on the team of volunteers that we can put together to support the event in the way it needs to be. This is due to the tremendous growth that Eternal Rest has seen in the last few years - and in order to keep control of it's artistic vision, the safety of our guests, and it's professional attitude toward what we do ... it's going to be all about that ensemble we can put together.

We have some really incredible people who are on board, but we need more like minded people that are interested in this sort of thing.

In the past years, Eternal Rest has started it's physical set up a couple of months in advance and requires about another month for taking down. The idea for next year's event will be a sort of year long planning status. That means we are testing the waters right now to see if next year can happen.

Most of our visitors escaped back to safety ... only a few have gone unaccounted for.

At midnight, Venice Haunted House - Eternal Rest Cemetery, slammed the graveyard gates closed, and a few of our visiting guests turned into permanent residents.

The upside though, is that at least they look good in one of our official Eternal Rest Cemetery t-shirts

We will also be open for Saturday, Nov. 2nd. It's your second and final chance for Eternal Rest Cemetery's 2013 run.
