In Venice, the first block of Market Street, has been at the center of the Los Angeles art movement since its inception. built his first gallery there.
Larry Bell, Robert Irwin, Robert Rauschenberg, Jonathan Borofsky, Robert Graham, DeWain Valentine, Michael Heizer, Billy Al Bengston, Ed Ruscha, John Chamberlin, Larry Gagosian, Jean-Michel Basquiat, along with many other notables, have either showed or occupied studios on the block. LA Louver Gallery first opened its doors on the block. Academy Award winner, Tony Bill, drew the film business here
