On May 9th, we came together for an inspiring morning of healing and growth at Ribbons of Life BreastFest. The topic was “Busting Negative Core Beliefs.”
A heartfelt thank you to Alexandra Pribilovics, Grief & Resilience Coach, for guiding us through a powerful journey of self-reflection, resilience, and making space for more self-love.
We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, including our dear friends and Ribbons of Life founder, Lisa Barreto and her husband Bobbie who came all the way from New Hampshire to visit. Thank you to all who continue to support this beautiful community. We look forward to seeing you at our next BreastFest on the second Saturday of the month at River Ridge Golf Club, Oxnard!

We’re so grateful to the Filipino Nurses Association of Oxnard.
In searching for a local grassroots organization supporting women through breast cancer, they found Ribbons of Life, and generously raised and donated $1,000 to support our mission.
Thank you for making a difference in our community.

On April 11, we gathered at our new location, River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, for a meaningful and informative BreastFest 💗
We welcomed back Sara Rodriguez, Physical Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist with Community Memorial Hospital, who shared helpful insight on lymphedema--what it is, what causes it, and how physical therapy can help with treatment and management. She also touched on updates related to chemotherapy‑induced peripheral neuropathy and answered attendee questions.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and help make these mornings so impactful. We’re grateful for our speakers and this wonderful community.

Our February 14th Ribbons of Life BreastFest gathering was a beautiful and inspiring morning of connection and healing. We were honored to welcome Ribbons of Life member Danielle Sisk, who shared her personal Reiki journey and powerful healing experiences. Through her story, we learned how Reiki, a gentle Japanese energy practice, supports relaxation, balance, and overall well being. Thank you, Danielle, for sharing your heart, wisdom, and decades of experience with our community. ✨💕

We kicked off the new year with an inspiring morning led by our guest speaker, Bernie Austin. Bernie reminded us that creating change in our lives doesn’t have to be overwhelming, sometimes all it takes is a single moment of awareness. Whether it's 7 days, 7 minutes, or just 7 seconds, the shift into a better‑feeling space begins the instant we notice we're ready for something different.
Bernie, a Life Coach, Spiritual Counselor, and Body Therapist, has generously supported Ribbons of Life for over a decade as both a speaker and Advisory Board member. We were grateful to have her share her wisdom with our community once again.
Please join us next time, the 2nd Saturday of the month at Black Bear Diner in Ventura. To learn more about Ribbons of Life and our monthly BreastFest meetings, please call (805) 308-3456 or email [email protected].
