This morning at 08:15, we were toned to respond to the area of 1388 Fort Bridgman Rd for a single vehicle MVC into a pole with possible entrapment. Due to the nature of the call, Rescue Inc and Brattleboro Fire Department were also toned automatically. A section of Fort Bridgman Road was shut down, diverting north bound traffic over Tyler Hill Rd while we were all working on the scene. Once Green Mountain Power arrived and de-energized the wires, crews were then able to safely extricate the single occupant out of the vehicle to be evacuated. The road was opened to all traffic and the scene was turned over to GMP around 09:45.

Yesterday, VFD members joined in on the fun at the Guilford Fair Fire Muster. We always have a great time participating with other local departments in these fun competitions. We took home 3rd place. 🥉

BACK TO SCHOOL today for the kiddos! Be sure to give yourselves a few extra minutes for your morning commute and be on the lookout for school buses & kids along the roads. Remember, if a bus is stopped with flashing RED lights - you need to stop and wait!
