🧠💚 GROWING MINDS, BUILDING CONNECTIONS, AND BOOSTING OUR BRAINS! 🎲✨
Who says Master Gardeners only grow plants? We believe in nurturing the whole person!
Today, we traded our gardening gloves for games, meaningful conversations, and a wonderful opportunity to explore how we can support our brain health and overall quality of life.
Our Boost Your Brain gathering brought together curious minds, knowledgeable presenters, and enthusiastic volunteers for an engaging experience focused on lifelong learning and healthy aging.
🌟 Jessica Alonso, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent II, shared valuable strategies for supporting brain health and helped participants develop their own SMART goals.
🌟 Evelyn Espinal, Alzheimer's Association Community Engagement Manager, provided important insights into Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and cognitive health, along with practical recommendations for supporting well-being.
We are also tremendously grateful to the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program for generously providing such a beautiful and welcoming space for our gathering!
We had a lovely group- the conversations were lively, the questions thoughtful, and the enthusiasm contagious!
Because at UF/IFAS Extension, we know that growing a healthier community means nurturing minds, strengthening connections, and creating opportunities to thrive at every stage of life. 🌱
👀 Stay connected! We're looking forward to exploring more opportunities like this for our volunteers and community.
