25 years ago, our nation experienced a day we will never forget.
Today, we remember every life lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. We also honor the incredible courage of the first responders who, while others were running to safety, ran toward danger and into those burning buildings to save people they had never met.
That bravery has always meant something personal to me. My brother John is a firefighter, and I know the courage, sacrifice, and sense of duty it takes to answer that call.
May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.
God bless their families, our first responders, and the United States of America.
