Just a quick reminder that we will be closed on Monday September 7th for Labor Day.

We’re excited for Woodford Recycling Director Sherri McDaniel’s imminent retirement after 26 years, but sad to lose her expertise in debris management activities. Disasters and emergencies generate large volumes of waste; her knowledge of reduction and disposal methods have allowed Woodford County to be substantially reimbursed for these efforts. Best wishes as you wrap up these final days of a productive and environmentally conscious career.

08/25/2026

We will be closed an hour early on Thursday 8/27 so our employees and department personnel as well as court members can celebrate with Sherri as she looks forward to a very well earned and deserved retirement.

UPDATE ON THE WC RIVERSWEEP!!!

The Clifton boat ramp will be closed from July 21st until late August. We will not be having the river sweep the first Saturday in August. We will give it our best effort to still have a sweep this year but if the weather does not cooperate, we will have to wait until next years sweep.
