Tom might have a First Branch Radio, but he's also ours.

Over 40 attendees from more than 8 departments across the Upper Valley came together in Thetford last night for DHART Ground Safety. Thank you to Thetford Fire Department for hosting, and to the chiefs from every regional department and the team from Hanover Dispatch who made the trip. Having everyone in the same room is what makes these nights work.

We finished with a successful night landing zone using portable lighting, and a well-earned shout-out to Tom from First Branch Ambulance for calling in his first LZ report to the inbound DHART crew. Nicely done.

These courses exist for the fire, EMS, and dispatch partners who set up and secure our landing zones every day.

About 2/3 of 911 calls are medical, but a firefighter is most likely to respond first. Training firefighters to do more than CPR makes good sense. Message if you're interested, or if you'd like to $ponsor someone that is.

If you see a tree across the road blocking traffic, with or without wires involved, please call 911. That alerts Vershire Fire and Rescue folks, and the road commissioner. This tree was blocking Vershire Center Road not far from the Strafford line this morning.
