Therapy Dog Sadie loves to read with her friends! Visit with her and her therapy dog friends on Monday, November 2, from 6 - 7:30 PM. Whether you're sharing your favorite story or simply enjoying some cuddle time, spending time with therapy dogs has been shown to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and boost mood.
Therapy Dogs visit on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from October to May in the VPL Youth Services Department.

Need help with your phone, tablet, or laptop?
Stop by with your personal device for one-on-one tech assistance with a librarian. Help is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please limit your visit to one specific issue and bring your own notebook and pen to write step-by-step instructions for future reference.
Remember! We are not professional IT people and may not be able to help with everything. We will do our best and send you in the right direction if further assistance is needed.
Wednesdays 11 AM - 12 PM

We LOVE our Friends!
We are so excited to celebrate the Friends of VPL during National Friends of the Library Week this week.
The Friends are a passionate team of volunteers running bimonthly book sales, sorting book donations, and securing vital corporate sponsorships.
Thanks to these fundraising initiatives, the Friends have supported amazing library programs and resources, including:
🍦 Ice cream truck at the Summer Block Party
📚 Books for elementary book clubs
♟️ Chess boards & clocks for Chess Club
☔ Patio umbrellas & yoga bolsters
🧼 Hygiene supplies for the hygiene pantry
📦 Event storage solutions & replacement books
🌐 Expanded bilingual & local author collections

💚🍼 The Great Give Back at VPL! 🍼💚
Every October, The Great Give Back encourages library patrons to give back to their communities. This year, Vestal Public Library is collecting diapers and baby wipes to help stock the VPL Hygiene Pantry and our in-library changing stations.
We’re collecting:
🍼 Diapers in all sizes
🧻 Baby wipes
💚 1-gallon Ziploc bags
📅 Drop off donations at VPL from October 17 through November 19.
Have a partial package of diapers your little one has outgrown? We’ll gladly accept it! VPL will repackage diapers and wipes into smaller quantities to help make these essentials available to families who need them.

Each take-and-home bag includes everything you need to complete a mosaic masterpiece featuring an adorable little ghost. Using a simple tool, you'll place colorful rhinestones onto a sticky canvas to bring your glowing friend to life. Perfect for a relaxing evening craft.

Friday, October 16, from 5 - 6 PM
🛒 Meat, bread, dry goods, fruits, veggies, and more will be available — free of charge for individuals and families in need.
No registration necessary. Just stop by for free grocery assistance!
