Vicksburg Mayor Launches Right-of-way Restoration Project
Hello Vicksburg: cleaning up the finances and operations inside City Hall has been my No. 1 priority since becoming Mayor, but that's not something that’s always easy for everyone to see. Now that we've nearly completed that goal, it's time to clean up what everyone does see: our busiest streets and corridors.
We'll focus on the streets with the most traffic so the most residents, visitors, and potential investors see the results. That means w**d removal, pressure washing, repainting, sign repairs, and general maintenance along city property. This builds on the great work Alderwoman Bailey, city employees, and many volunteers have already done cleaning up many of our flower beds.
No one wants to live in a city that looks like it's given up, much less open a business there. When people decide whether to invest or live here, they're looking at our main corridors, and every one of them should tell a story of pride, not neglect. Taking care of what we have is one more way we're building a safer, stronger, smarter Vicksburg for all of our people.
Want to help? Residents, civic groups, churches, and businesses can sign up and make suggestions for these improvements for Vicksburg’s busiest streets or even work alongside city crews by emailing me directly: [email protected] or stopping by my office at City Hall.
Each day, we’re taking real steps to build a safer, stronger, and smarter Vicksburg for the future — exactly as your city government should.
Stay tuned for more!
