October 18-24, 2026 is the 21st annual National Friends of Libraries Week, and it’s the perfect opportunity for the staff and trustees of the Villa Park Public Library to give our Friends of the Villa Park Library a big shout out for all they do to make a positive impact on us every single day.

Friends act as advocates for the library; sponsoring programs and fundraising events, promoting the Library within the community, and helping to improve the Library facilities and services.

Early voting at the library begins on Monday, October 19. Early voting hours will be:
Monday-Friday: 8am-7pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9-5pm

Important Dates to remember for this election:
Monday, October 19 - Monday, November 2, 2026 - Early Voting
Tuesday, November 3 - General Election

🎉 You're Invited!

Join us Friday, October 23, at 3:00 pm for the ribbon cutting of the brand-new Story Stroll at North Terrace Park (300 N. Westmore)!

Made possible by the fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Villa Park Library, this exciting new addition is presented in partnership with the Villa Park Public Library and our Parks & Recreation Department.

Families are invited to explore the park’s half-mile path while enjoying a fun story along the way! The featured story will change quarterly, so there’s always something new to discover.

📚 Curious about the first story? You’ll have to stop by North Terrace Park and see for yourself!

We can’t wait to celebrate this wonderful new addition to our community with you!

We are currently accepting donations for the Craft Supply Swap, on Saturday, Oct. 10. Donations will be taken through Friday, October 9.

All donors will receive a ticket for early entry.

Join the Friends of the Villa Park Library and Meredith Meder for a fundraiser, movie screening and cheese tasting reception. Friends Film Fundraiser: "The Big Cheese". The fundraiser will be held on November 7, 2026 at 7pm. Tickets are $50, and will go on sale on Monday, October 5th, online and in person. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Friends of the Villa Park Library.
