I’m honored to have the endorsement of Hardin County’s current PVA, Danny Hutcherson.

Danny is retiring after 18 years of service to our county. I’m grateful for his support and for his many years of dedication to the office.

Thank you, Danny!

Heads up. PVA 101 Part 3 is a good one. Why does my property value keep going up even if I haven’t made any improvements? It’s one of the most common questions folks have about the PVA office. Here’s a bit more info.

How does the PVA determine the value of your property?

The number doesn’t just come out of thin air. Your next PVA needs to be knowledgeable about different appraisal methods. But the most important thing is that the process is consistent and fair to everyone in the county.

PVA 101 is in session!

Check out the first episode, where we break down the role of the Property Valuation Administrator and its many responsibilities. It’s only a minute long and gives you a quick look at what the office actually does.

One of my favorite parts of the Farm Bureau’s Measure the Candidate event Thursday night was getting to have some real conversations about the PVA office.

Two people came to me with specific concerns they wanted to discuss with the PVA candidates. We talked through their situations, what the PVA can and cannot do under Kentucky law, and how I would approach those responsibilities if elected.

Those are the conversations I enjoy most. Sometimes the answer isn’t necessarily the one someone expects to hear, but I think people appreciate someone who will listen, explain the rules, and be straightforward about what the office can actually do.

Thank you to Hardin County Farm Bureau for giving voters and candidates the opportunity to sit down and have those conversations.

It was our busiest Saturday yet! The King for PVA crew divided and conquered at Rineyville Days and Upton Days Saturday morning. Then we had an Avengers-esque team-up for the Radcliff parade that evening. Three parades in crazy heat, but our candy game was still peak.

Happy Stephensburg Day!

First parade of the season is in the books, and what a beautiful day for a parade. It was great seeing everyone up and down 62.

Looking forward to a summer full of parades, festivals, and community events.

The polls have closed. The primary election is over. The countdown to the November 3 general election has officially begun.

For those who have followed this page through my years on the Vine Grove City Council, thank you. I’m excited to begin this next chapter as a candidate for Hardin County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA).

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing updates from the campaign trail, information about the PVA office and why it matters, and why I believe I’m the right candidate for the job.

I appreciate your support. If you’re so inclined, a like and share of this post and this page would go a long way.
