Everyone say howdy to our newest therapy pup on the team! This is Josie, an 8 year old bully pup, who had a whirlwind shift today, seeing 10 ambulances and 2 hospitals.

Can you tell it’s October 💖🌸🌷 EMS crews get to wear their pink tees for Breast Cancer Awareness and our pups get to wear costumes! Josie is modeling her best Doggy Parton outfit and looking glam!

Fun Facts about Leo:

• Doesn’t have to use a stethoscope. Have you seen his ears?
• Forgets to fuel the ambulance at the end of shift BUT leaves an apology note on the steering wheel.
• Will visit Gelati Celesti and Kohr Bros. in the same shift
• Insists on playing classical music on the way to calls.

Leo is our favorite ‘chaotic good’ friend and we hope he could brighten everyone’s evening shift!

Today we celebrate the four-legged members of our EMS family! 🐶💙 Our therapy dogs bring comfort, smiles, and support to the providers who spend their days caring for others.

We’re so grateful for every pup and handler that’s been apart of our team!

Fun Facts about Maggie ✨:
• Is an EVOC instructor but was involved in too many backing accidents. Now is a former EVOC instructor 🚑
• Eats at the hospital cafeteria daily because she has fake ID that gets her the Sentara discount 🍔
• Inputs a respiratory rate of 14 for every patient, iykyk 😉
• Has at least three policies made about her and thinks they should be named after her. Proudly displays them in a binder with other felony charges.
