IMPORTANT Concerning the SUDS Walk 2026 on October 17, 2026:

For those families that live on the Peninsula and are attending the walk, the I-64 Eastbound lanes of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel will be closed from 9:00 PM 10/16/26 until 5:00 AM 10/19/26. Alternate routes are I-664 across the Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel or Route 17 for your planning purposes.

Hello everybody! NEW DEADLINE: The deadline for the Achievement signs for SUDS Hampton Roads 2026 is October 1, 2026. You can purchase the achievement signs using the link below. On the registration page, scroll all the way down and select achievement signs. Select continue until you reach the payment page, then enter your payment information. Once you've purchased the achievement sign, you will receive an email with a link to submit the photo and your achievement statement. (Be sure to check your junk mail.)

This is the first major collaboration of the Hampton Roads Down Syndrome community with VDSA. As we learn more about each other, we appreciate your grace and your patience for any glitches.

Hampton Roads!!!! We are again sending the announcement on this page because we reach the most members of our Down Syndrome community in Hampton Roads. We are now under the umbrella of the Virginia Down Syndrome Association (VDSA), so please like and follow the Virginia syndrome Association Hampton Roads page. Our walk is in six weeks. The T-shirt deadline has been extended to September 18, 2026.

We hope to see as many teams & participants as possible! (Be sure to scroll down on the screen where you enter the name of the individual, for the T-shirt size, and to indicate if the individual has Down Syndrome.)

Just a reminder that the deadline to sign up is August 20, 2026. VDSA is also asking that we complete waivers for the event and photography. Links for volunteering for the event and for registration to include the waivers are in the comments. We are still looking for volunteers to help with the cookout.
