💡 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲?

Rotary was born in Chicago in 1905 — but it didn’t stay there long. Just three years later, San Francisco became home to the second Rotary club ever formed. Oakland followed as the third. Then Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York City.

What started around one table spread coast to coast because the idea was simply too good to keep in one place.

Cape Henry Rotary has been carrying that same spirit right here in Virginia Beach since 1984. 💛

📬 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱?

From a tiny island in the Pacific to the streets of Monaco, nations have honored Rotary International on their official postage — a quiet but remarkable sign of how far this organization’s reach truly goes.

🇦🇹 Austria was one of the first, issuing a stamp for the 1931 Vienna Convention.
🇺🇸 The U.S. Post Office followed in 1955 with an 8¢ stamp bearing the words “Service Above Self.”
🇩🇪 West Germany marked the 1987 Munich World Convention with a 70 Pfennig stamp.
🇫🇷 France, 🇲🇨 Monaco, 🇾🇹 Mayotte, 🇳🇷 Nauru, and 🇰🇳 Nevis all issued stamps for Rotary’s centennial in 2005.

Nine decades of service — honored on the stamps that connect the world.

We think that’s worth sharing.

💙 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

Right now, somewhere in the world, the Rotary Foundation is:

🍲 Feeding someone
🏠 Housing someone
💉 Vaccinating someone
📖 Educating someone
➕ Performing surgery on someone
🤝 Comforting someone
💧 Providing clean water to someone

Not once a year at a fundraiser. Not in a press release. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆. 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲. 🌍

When you join Rotary, you don't just attend breakfast meetings — you become part of the most impactful private humanitarian organization on the planet. Here in Virginia Beach, the 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 connects that global mission to our local community — every Wednesday at 7:15am at Craft Burger Bar.

Ready to be part of something bigger? Come as a guest — no commitment required. Just show up and see what's possible. 💙

🔵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆! 💙💛

Every October, Rotary International shines a spotlight on one of its seven core areas of focus: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. For Rotary, economic development isn't just about money — it's about creating the conditions where individuals, families, and entire communities can thrive.

That means supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. Building job skills and financial literacy. Fostering partnerships between civic leaders and the local economy. Investing in the people and places that make a community worth living in. 🌍

Here in Hampton Roads, that mission hits close to home. Cape Henry Rotary is proud to bring together business owners, civic leaders, nonprofit champions, and community members every week — all committed to the kind of 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 that 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.

We meet every 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟳:𝟭𝟱𝗮𝗺 at Craft Burger Bar, Virginia Beach. Come be part of the conversation! Guests always welcome.
