đź’śMaking a Difference Beyond the Courtroomđź’ś

Our commitment to victims doesn't end in the courtroom. In honor of domestic violence awareness month, our office donated essential items to the Samaritan House to help support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. We are proud to support organizations that provide safety, resources, and hope to those in need.

Samaritan House helps individuals and families free themselves from domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and homelessness in Hampton Roads. 🚨 VBPD Scam Alert: Spoof Calls Reported in Our Community

The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has been made aware of scam phone calls circulating in our area. Callers are fraudulently using the position of "Captain," claiming the person receiving the call has a warrant for their arrest. The scam typically pressures victims into paying a supposed “fine.”

Please remember: These calls are NOT from the VBPD.
We will never demand payment or personal information over the phone regarding warrants or fines.

If you or someone you know receives one of these calls:

• Provide no information.
• Hang up immediately.
• If you believe you’ve fallen victim, contact the Economic Crimes Unit in your jurisdiction.

Many of these scams originate offshore and are difficult to trace, so community awareness is vital. Please help us share this information to keep our residents informed and protected.
