๐Ÿšจ Ever wonder what it takes to lift an overturned 80,000-pound semi-truck tractor trailer back upright?

This time-lapse shows the careful process first responders and heavy-duty tow operators go through to safely clear a major crash scene and reopen the roadway. Every movement is coordinated with safety in mind โ€” for the crews working closely near traffic, keeping as many lanes open as possible to expedite traffic, and while keeping safety as a top priority.

We understand the frustration of sitting in stop-and-go traffic. Closures are never convenient. But scenes like this highlight the realities officers, firefighters, Caltrans, and tow companies face while working to safely clear the roadway as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience and for slowing down and moving over for emergency crews. ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš›
