Town of Vonore

The Town of Vonore is applying for Local Park and Recreation Funds (LPRF) in the amount of $262,500 for improvements to Heritage Park. The grant requires a local match of 50%, which brings the total project cost to $525,000. The scope includes new playground equipment and new pickleball courts (2). The scope of the grant application was prepared by referencing the needs within the Town’s Park and Recreation Master Plan update. Please see the slides below for more information – these slides are required to display information in accordance with program guidelines.

The Town of Vonore will hold a Public Meeting on January 30, 2026 at 12:15 p.m., at the Vonore City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to present information to the public on the FY 2026 Community Development Block Grant Program. Concerned citizens are encouraged to attend and comment on possible activities.

The Town of Vonore Parks and Recreation is organizing an adult (18 and up) co-ed kickball league!

Games will begin Monday, September 15 and end October 13.
Teams will consist of 10 to 15 players.

Anyone wishing to field a team must attend a meeting on September 8 at 6:00 PM at Field #3 (new fields).
Rules and other details will be discussed at the meeting.

The Town of Vonore invites all residents and stakeholders to a public meeting to discuss the update of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
Your input is essential to the future of our parks and recreational facilities.
At this meeting, we will:
• Conduct a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis as it pertains to the existing park system.
• Unveil the public survey and explain how to participate.
