CASA of McLennan County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are volunteers dedicated to helping children in foster care find safe, permanent homes.

We help ordinary people who want to make a meaningful difference by training and supporting them to advocate for kids in foster care and help keep them from falling through the cracks. Become a CASA and you will make a difference in a child’s life – and your own.

A little kindness can make a huge difference.💙

Today is National Do Something Nice Day!

At CASA of McLennan County, our advocates show up for children who are navigating the foster care system. Sometimes, making a difference starts with something as simple as listening, showing up and reminding kids that someone is in their corner.

Looking for a way to do something meaningful? Consider becoming a CASA advocate and using your time to make a lasting impact on a child’s life.

Behind every CASA advocate is a child who knows someone is in their corner.

Today, 60 active advocates are helping to ensure children have someone speaking up for them and their best interests. Every volunteer brings compassion, consistency, and hope to a child navigating the foster care system.

Imagine the impact that could be made with even more advocates — and you could be a part of that impact. To learn more about how you can become a CASA advocate, click here: https://casaforeverychild.org/learn-more/become-a-casa/

Today is National Care for Kids Day.

It’s a day to recognize that every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported.

In the past 12 months, we’ve served over 226 children, thanks to the dedication of our wonderful CASA advocates and staff, who work hard to make sure each child’s voice is heard in court and beyond.

Today we are celebrating the advocates who continue to show up — and inviting others to join them. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Every child deserves someone who will speak up for them.

For advocate Matt Patterson, that’s what CASA is all about.

CASA advocates are often the one consistent adult focused solely on a child’s well-being throughout their case. They build relationships, provide a voice in court, and help ensure the child’s needs remain a priority.

If you ever wondered what it means to be a CASA advocate, Matt’s story is a great place to start. ❤️

If you have compassion, time to advocate for a child, and an eagerness to learn, you can make a difference.
