It’s been a busy and exciting week at Grizzly Academy! Here is a quick look at how our students are shining:

Earned & Well-Deserved! A huge shoutout to the Shepperd / Walker / Lebeck classroom! These hardworking 2nd–4th-grade boys filled up their incentive jar and earned a PJ & Movie Day! We are so proud of your daily dedication and hard work!

Regulation Stations in Action Our students understood the assignment! They spent some time practicing self-regulation and mindfulness through creative painting.

Grizzlies Giving Back On Thursday, October 8th, our 7th–12th-grade students completed hands-on service projects around our school. From weeding and assembling new swings to painting the playground for our younger students and adding artistic touches, they put in real work to make our school a better place.

We are so proud of our students, their hard work, and the heart they bring to Grizzly Academy every single day!

Overlook is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom, it’s about the people who surround our students and the community that lifts them up!

• Events like More Alike Than Different Day remind us how much strength lies in our shared values!

RELATIONSHIPS
• As the only Wadsworth elementary school housing a preschool, our 4th graders get to serve as preschool helpers, building sweet connections and becoming amazing role models for our youngest Grizzlies.
• Plus, our students love learning alongside visiting High School Grizzly Leaders!

COMMUNITY
• From PTO Movie Nights and high-five greetings from the Wadsworth Football team to Special Persons Lunches, Book Fairs, and Magic Gives Back, our families and community partners bring so much joy to our building.

Every day is filled with little moments that reflect who we are and what we value.

Happy Saturday, Grizzlies! Can you believe we are heading into the ninth week of the school year this Monday? Autumn is always an exciting time across Wadsworth City Schools, and our dedicated staff works hard every day to make our district exceptional. The Board of Education will meet for a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 12, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the James R. McIlvaine Performing Arts Center, located in Wadsworth High School (625 Broad Street). The agenda and supporting documents for the meeting may be viewed from the Board of Education webpage. Upon request to the Superintendent, the District shall make reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability to be able to participate in this activity.
