Filing deadline for INCUMBENTS (any current office holder) for Township & Village is tomorrow July 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. If you are a NON-INCUMBENT (new filer) you have until August 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Today by 4:30 p.m. is the last day to early vote in office, or to take a ballot home to vote.

If you need to pick up a ballot for someone who can not make it to the polls tomorrow you have until tomorrow May 12, 2026 (BY 7:00 P.M.) to do this.

ALL BALLOTS MUST BE BACK IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE OR OUR DROP BOX (Located at the North entrance of the Courthouse) BY 8:00 P.M. TOMORROW, TUESDAY MAY 12, 2026.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE
MAY 12, 2026
PRIMARY ELECTION

April 27 – Last day to register to vote online (by midnight), at the DMV, at DHHS, at the Department of Education, via agent, via deputy registrar or by mail (voter registration application must be postmarked by April 27, 2026.)

May 1 – Last day to register to vote in person at the county election office (6 p.m. local time) and the last day to submit an early voting application to request a ballot to be mailed to the voter.

May 11 – Last day to vote in person at the county election office.

May 12 – Election Day and the last day county election offices will accept any early voting ballots for counting – whether delivered by mail, by agent, in person, or by secure drop box.

If you are a current office holder and you are wanting to file for an elective office, your deadline to file is 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 17, 2026. We are closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 for Presidents Day.

You must file between today, January 5 and Tuesday, February 17, 2026. If you are a NON-INCUMBENT (do NOT hold ANY other elected office) you must file between today, January 5 and Monday, March 2, 2026.
