🚑 Thanks for Stopping By, News Code 3! 🚑

We enjoyed having News Code 3 stop by Citizens Ambulance today to tour the station, check out some of our equipment, and spend some time talking with our crew!

We truly appreciate the kind words about our staff and organization. Following yesterday’s difficult incident in Wakeman, the support shown to our crews by the community and fellow responders has meant a great deal. ❤️

And of course, we couldn’t let them leave without a few Citizens Ambulance patches! 👀🔥🚑

Thanks again, News Code 3 , for stopping by and supporting our crews!

EMS Levy Renewal – Vote YES November 3rd!

The existing 1.0-mill Vermilion River Ambulance District levy helps maintain 24/7/365 Paramedic and EMT coverage for our communities.

This is a 5-year renewal — not an additional levy. The levy has been in place since 2007 and costs approximately $19 per year for every $100,000 of appraised market value.

Your community investment helps keep YOUR LOCAL ambulance service ready when you need us.

Thank you to the Hartland Harvest Festival for inviting Citizens Ambulance Service to be part of today’s festivities!
We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and it was great spending the day visiting with members of the Hartland community. Our crew even found some time to join a few young men for a game of football. We’re told the final score isn’t important… but unfortunately, our crew lost! 🏈😂

Overall, it was a wonderful event and a great opportunity to spend time with the community we’re proud to serve.
Thank you to everyone who organized the festival, stopped by to see us, and made the day such a success. We look forward to next year!

🚨 Air Quality Alert for Northern Ohio 🚨

Smoke from the ongoing Canadian wildfires has moved into Northern Ohio, resulting in poor air quality and heavy low-lying smoke across the region.

Individuals with asthma, COPD, heart disease, other respiratory conditions, older adults, young children, and anyone sensitive to poor air quality are encouraged to take extra precautions today.

Please consider the following:
• Stay indoors as much as possible and keep windows and doors closed.
• Limit outdoor activity and strenuous exercise.
• If you must be outside, consider wearing a well-fitted N95 mask.
• Keep rescue inhalers and other prescribed medications readily available.
• Monitor symptoms closely, including increased shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, or persistent coughing.

If you experience severe difficulty breathing, chest pain, or another medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

Stay informed by monitoring local air quality conditions and check on family members, friends, and neighbors who may be at higher risk.

Please stay safe and take precautions until air quality improves. 💙
