We celebrated our 50th anniversary last night and had a great time with current firefighters, Jr firefighters, auxiliary members, and a few former firefighters as well as their families. Be sure to read the captions under each picture. Thank you to Convicted Pigs BBQ for the amazing food, Shirt Factory for the great job on the shirts and jackets, Ravenswood Food Fair for the cakes, and Plaque Makers, EAG awards, and Badge and Wallet for the awards. Thank you also to Patty Bell and Beverly Starke for your donations. Here's to another 50 years of dedicated service to our community!

Thank you to all who came to our open house today and a special thank you to our auxiliary members who worked hard making all the soups and chili and chicken and dumplings! This evening all of our members and their families will be enjoying a private dinner with a few surprises! Pictures to follow! Tomorrow, Deerwalk VFD will have officially been in existence and served the community for 50 years!

We are celebrating our 50th anniversary with an open house Saturday October 3rd from 11-3. Come out and join us for a bowl of your favorite kind of soup, provided by our auxiliary, and meet our firefighters, tour the station, see our trucks and equipment, and learn some history of our first 50 years of serving our community! We have 2 charter members who are still active firefighters and they will be on hand as well. We look forward to seeing everyone!
