***WWPD Makes Multiple Arrests After Gang Tagging – Recovers Illegal Guns***

Today, members of the WWPD followed a group of suspects who had just committed gang related spray painting downtown. Upon confrontation by our officers, they seized several illegally possessed fi****ms.

Officers recovered spray paint and noted that at least two of the suspects had paint on their hands.

***Shootout at Local Bar – No Injuries***

WWPD investigated after an apparent shootout occurred in the 600 block of W Elm St. No injuries reported.

On 10/22/26, just after midnight, our officers responded to a report of possible shots fired outside of a local bar in the 600 block of W Elm St. Officers arrived and found no one injured.

Investigators found that there was an armed confrontation from within the bar between at least two subjects. Shots were fired from within the bar as multiple .380 casings were found in addition to holes in the building.

Investigators found that some of the impacts into the building indicated they had come from high ground. Investigators canvassed the area and found a pile of r***e casings up on a nearby bike path which faces the entrance to the bar.

Investigators found bullet fragments within the walls of the bar that appeared to match the r***e rounds. WWPD believe this was a targeted shooting between the individuals involved. Despite the number of spent casings recovered, miraculously no one was hit. This case is being actively investigated, any future updates will be posted here.
