Holiday for Giving-Wallingford Holiday for Giving has been helping Wallingford families in need for over 50 years through volunteer efforts and collaboration with local businesses.

The Holiday for Giving Program is a community organization run by volunteers; it functions solely on donations from individuals, organizations and local businesses. All donations are given directly back to those in need in the Wallingford Community. The core committee of 15 volunteers meet during the year to plan the December give-aways. We operate with the co-operative effort of many organizations including the Yalesville Volunteer Fire Department, Peer Advocate and National Honor Society members from Lyman Hall and Sheehan, Dag Hammarskjold Girl's Basketball team, Dag Builder's Club, students, teachers, and administrators in all the town schools, the Wallingford Public Library and the Town of Wallingford employees. We receive support services from the Wallingford Youth & Social Services, the Public Works Department, the Electric Division and all the Fire Departments. There is a true pooling of resources of volunteers, organizations, clubs, corporations, small businesses and individuals. With the dedication of time, donated goods and monetary donations from all these groups combined, we are able to provide hundreds of Wallingford families with a little "Holiday Magic". Join us for a fun night benefiting Holiday for Giving – Wallingford, INC. Enjoy three rounds of music bingo, prizes, raffles, and an ugly sweater contest! No music knowledge required—just come ready to have fun and support local families. ❤️

Hot chocolate and light refreshments will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring your own food! A full bar is available downstairs.

If you use the QR code (or link in bio), items will be shipped directly to us, no need to transport in November. Otherwise we will have 40-50 collection sites located around town the month of November.

Our volunteers had such an amazing morning at Annual Toy Drive .

Our nonprofit was honored to be one of seven recipients to be awarded from the donations collected.

Each year we rely 100% on the donations collected and by the blood sweat and tears of our volunteers who selflessly organize our event to benefit families in need directly within our Wallingford community.

The Wallingford Community Resource Alliance held a great December meeting!

The WCRA is a collaborative network of local agencies and organizations dedicated to serving our community. United by a shared mission, we work together to provide essential information, resources, and opportunities that support and uplift individuals and families. Through partnership and purpose, we strive to build a stronger, more connected community and work toward a brighter, more equitable tomorrow.

Huge thanks to Jason and Jessica from Connecticut Foodshare for sharing all the amazing work they do across Connecticut’s 169 towns! Alliance members also had the chance to highlight their upcoming programs, events, and initiatives.
