We are helping Green Sheen Paint find local folks who would be willing to work a free paint recycling event this Saturday October 10th from 9am-1pm at Wallkill Senior High School in conjunction with the Town of Shawangunk Wallkill Central School District and Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency.

$100 for 5 hours of work!

The Wallkill sewer department is currently addressing a sewer issue at our pump station, which is causing a minor discharge of untreated sewage by the Transfer Station on River Road.

Please avoid River Road for the next few hours if possible.

Attention Town residents,

The Town Of Shawangunk has been having intermittent issues receiving phone calls from Verizon wireless phones.

We have been in touch with our phone carrier, Frontier, and have been informed that they believe that it is a Verizon wireless issue, however they continue to investigate.

AT&T and landlines have been able to get though.

Apologies for the inconvenience while we navigate this issue.

The Shawangunk Transfer Station will be closed tomorrow due to Sewer Department construction.

The intention is for the Transfer Station to reopen Saturday.

Due to the poor air quality forecast for later today, Vision of Wallkill has decided to cancel tonight's Rhythm on the River Summer Concert with DOG PARTY.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. While we know this is disappointing, the health and safety of our attendees, performers, and volunteers is our top priority.

Dog Party has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 20. We look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday for a great evening of music along the Wallkill River!

The wait is almost over! On Saturday, July 11, join your Town of Shawangunk neighbors
to celebrate America's 250th Birthday at Popp Memorial Park (3081 NY-208, Wallkill, NY 12589) from 4 –8 pm for an afternoon of family fun along the beautiful Wallkill River featuring:

🎭 Historic reenactments
🎈 Family-friendly activities
🎉 Community celebration

There will be a spectacular fireworks display at 9 pm to end the celebration, if Mother Nature cooperates.
Plan to visit the Historical Society's exhibit featuring historic maps and photographs of local homes that showcase the rich heritage of our community at the Shawangunk Town Hall and the Wallkill Public Library during regular business hours.
