Walnut Fire & Rescue

Since, Walnut Fire started “Fly the Flag for Walnut Fire and Rescue.” There will be special occasions where we might put the flags up outside of the regular national holidays that were listed on the flyer.

So, in honor of Donnie Bauerkemper, the flags will fly. Donnie, you will be missed, but you will always be a part of the Walnut Fire and Rescue Family!

Walnut Fire and Rescue and the community of Walnut lost a special person with the passing of Donnie Bauerkemper.

Donnie served on the fire department for 40 years before becoming an Honorary member. Donnie was dedicated and helped build the culture and lead the way by sharing his ideas. Not only was he active at the department he was very active throughout the community. Donnie was respected amongst members and the community.

Donnie will be missed by many, especially us at the department. On behalf of the Walnut Fire Department we send our condolences to the Bauerkemper family.

Donnie’s visitation will be held at the Walnut Community Center on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00pm.
