Fire Prevention Month™ is October. “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower” focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer. Along with charging safety tips for adults, NFPA offers kid-focused messaging to help children understand both the power and the potential dangers of lithium-ion batteries. These resources show kids how they can play an active role in staying safe whenever they use or charge devices at home or school.

We want to thank everyone who was able to take time and participate in our Groundbreaking Ceremony yesterday. This is a giant step forward for our agency and will help train future generations of firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics.

We will be one of many agencies from Northern Kentucky participating in this drill. Just be aware of the numerous emergency vehicles in the area of the airport.

🚨 CVG’s full-scale emergency exercise is happening this Friday, Sept. 18 🚨

If you’re traveling through or passing by the airport Friday morning, you may notice emergency vehicles, CVG staff, first responders, and actors participating in emergency response training.

Please do not be alarmed! There is no real emergency, and flights will continue as normal.

This exercise gives CVG staff, local first responders, and area hospitals the opportunity to train together and strengthen our coordinated response to an emergency.

Twenty-five years later, we pause not only to remember a day of unimaginable loss, but to honor the lives behind every name—the loved ones whose absence is still felt, the first responders who answered without hesitation, and the ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage.
Time does not erase remembrance. It asks us to carry it forward: with compassion, unity, and a commitment to care for one another. May we never forget those who were taken from us, and may their memory continue to call forth the very best in us.🇺🇸
