taking the photos is only part of it!

after your session, i’m going through your gallery and hand editing each photo. skin, lighting, colors, little distractions in the background… there’s a lot that goes into the photos you receive, I’m not just putting a preset on and walking away.

16 years of experience and many, many hours behind a computer. i care about the little details, and i want you to love your photos just as much as i do 🤍

It’s almost October, which means it’s almost my birthday month 🎂 and apparently that means I need to start something new 😂

I’m looking for ONE (female) model for a styled adult birthday session in my studio!

I have a very specific vision for this shoot, so I’m looking for someone who:

• is comfortable in front of the camera
• can take direction
• is open to letting me have complete creative control
• is willing to follow specific guidance for hair, makeup + wardrobe

Hair, makeup and wardrobe are going to be a HUGE part of bringing this concept together, so please only apply if you’re comfortable with that.

This will be a full session, not a mini. I’ll only be charging a small creative fee because this is a concept I want to create specifically for my portfolio.

You’ll receive a full styled birthday experience + professionally edited images in return. 🎂📸

A little model call etiquette PSA 🤍

I recently had over 50 people apply for a model call and carefully selected models based on several different creative visions I wanted to create.

Every person selected was asked if they accepted their spot. Everyone said yes. Session details were sent and confirmations were received.

Unfortunately, I still had multiple people simply not show up. No cancellation. No message. Nothing.

I do not charge for model calls because you are volunteering your time to help me create something for my portfolio. Charging a deposit for that has never felt right to me.

But complimentary does not mean my time has no value.

I completely understand that life happens. Kids get sick. Emergencies happen. Plans change. I will never be upset with someone for needing to cancel. Just send me a message.

When you accept a model call, I’m still preparing for your session, setting up equipment, planning styling, blocking off that appointment and turning away other people who wanted that spot.

I love offering these opportunities, but I don’t love feeling like my time is being taken advantage of.

There WILL be another model call posted soon to recreate a few of the concepts I wasn’t able to shoot, so please keep an eye on the page if you’re interested. 🤍

And to everyone who showed up, respected my time and helped bring these ideas to life: THANK YOU. I cannot wait to share what we created! 📸

I have a vision I want to create!

I’m looking for one expecting mama with a beautiful, visible bump for a styled sunset maternity session.

📍 Dutchess County / Hudson Valley
📅 October 9th
🌅 Sunset/evening
🤍 Mama only, no partners or children
🥾 Must be comfortable with a short hike/walking on uneven terrain
👗 Styling will be planned together
📸 Complimentary session + edited images included

This is a creative model session, so you must be comfortable with Vintage Doll Photography using the images on social media, website, portfolio and marketing.
