KOHEN'S PARK Kohen's Park is a tribute. Kohen is missed every minute of every day. We pray that you feel the joy he brought us while you play at his park. It's a tribute.

Kohen's Park is more than a park. It's a legacy. We pray that you feel the joy he brought our family while you play at his park. Most of all though, we pray that you'll feel God's presence.

He doesn’t know that this place was built in honor of his Uncle Kohen. He just wants to go to the big park and play. He doesn’t know that Kohen loved his blue bicycle. That was heavy on my mind as we rode my blue bike to the park today. He doesn’t know because he is three, the same age Kohen was when he went into the arms of Jesus. That was almost 18 years ago. One day, he will be old enough to understand more. Till then, we’ll just keep saying Kohen’s name so the next generation remembers.

I think my greatest fear after losing Kohen was that he’d be forgotten. So I set out on a mission to make sure that didn’t happen. Somewhere along that route my mind set aside the notion that he doesn’t care if he is remembered or not. He doesn’t. We won’t care if we are remembered either when we get to Heaven. That’s a good thing.

Last night I got caught in the hailstorm that pounded Cabot for a few minutes. If you know me at all you know I love my truck. I worked hard for it and I take good care of it. My plan was to get up this morning and assess the damage. But God had other plans. Someone left the television on upstairs. I walked into my office to see BBC playing footage of the devastation taking place in Nepal. 1300 people are missing and I am worried about dents. I am humbled.

Brantley was born in California and has lived there his whole 3 years, 7 months and some change. It has not been easy having our grandson so far away. But today, he’s officially an Arkansan. His mom and dad have served their time in the military and we are so happy to have them all home! Please continue praying for our other son serving in Iran, our son who leaves for basic training in September and our granddaughter who leaves in October.

Our youngest son, Silo is following in the footsteps of his brothers. He was sworn in to the United States Navy on July 7. I think often of the Irish Blessing phrase, “May all the roads you wander lead you back to me.”
