October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection can save lives and a guide on how to do a self examination can be found here: https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-self-exam/

As well, there are certain factors that can elevate your risk of breast cancer such as, alcohol use, hormone therapy such as post menopausal treatment with estrogen and progesterone and never having been pregnant or carried full term.
