Hey, art lovers! This Sunday, October 18th, come hang out with Jason Sauer, the creator of 'The Navigator' sculpture at the corner of Railroad Ave. and Child St. (the one with the giant fish 🐟and the saint 😇giving directions) during Discover Warren's Walkabout. He'll be hangin' by his artwork from 1-3pm, so swing by and chat with him about his inspiration (or just take a selfie with a giant bass, we won't judge 👩‍⚖). Hope to see you there! 👋🏼

This week, we want to bring to your attention a WACC commissioned mural by (then high school student) Jordan Scriven. Before going off to college, Jordan also served as a WACC member.

We welcome young people to join our Commission to bring a fresh perspective to the work that we do! If you're interested in joining, please visit the Town of Warren website and find us under 'Boards and Commissions.'

Back in 2022, WACC commissioned artist and writer Josie Morway to create this stunning mural to raise awareness of sea level rise in Warren. Located at 24 Child Street, it depicts a salt marsh sparrow and one of the many endangered tupelo trees that line the edge of the disappearing marshland at Jacob's Point.

Stay tuned for more WACC project throwbacks. . .and upcoming projects!

Lest you all forget, a few years ago the Town of Warren Arts & Cultural Commission (WACC) worked (with a nod to The Avenue Concept) to commission these utility boxes throughout a significant part of town. We'll be re-installing two of them that had to be removed for road/utility work. Keep your eyes open for their new locations!!
