🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET — 25 YEARS LATER 🇺🇸

On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed.

Today, on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, the Warren Police Officers Association pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken that day and to honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running to safety.

We remember the law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and countless others who answered the call without hesitation. We also remember the many first responders who have lost their lives in the years since from illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero.

Twenty-five years have passed, but our promise remains the same:
We will remember their names. We will honor their sacrifice. We will NEVER FORGET.

May God bless the fallen, their families, our first responders, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Labor Day is a time to recognize the hardworking men and women whose dedication built our communities — and the labor movement that fought for fair wages, safe working conditions, reasonable hours, good benefits, and a voice in the workplace.

The Warren Police Officers Association is proud to carry on that tradition by standing together and advocating for the rights, safety, wages, benefits, and working conditions of the men and women who serve and protect the City of Warren.

While many enjoy a well-deserved day off, our officers — along with dispatchers, firefighters, EMS professionals, and other essential workers — will continue working around the clock to keep our community safe.

Today, we recognize all working men and women, especially those spending their Labor Day serving others.

Recently, members of the Warren Police & Fire Benevolent Association had the honor of presenting a donation at Station 5 to Neighbors United Walk for the Red, represented by Anne Rivard and her daughter, Lauren.

Neighbors United is dedicated to supporting firefighters battling cancer and their families, providing hope and assistance to those facing one of life’s toughest challenges. Firefighters face an increased risk of occupational cancer, making organizations like Neighbors United an invaluable resource for our fire service community.

We are proud to support their mission and grateful for everything they do for Michigan’s firefighters.
