WARRIOR DIFFERENCE MAKER SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Today we recognize Carrie Standley as a Warrior Difference Maker! 🧡🖤

Carrie was nominated by students and members of our Warren ISD community who wanted to recognize the difference she makes at Warren High School through her kindness, positivity, creativity, and genuine love for our students.

One parent shared that Carrie is always there for their student, whether they need help with schoolwork, preparing for college, navigating the challenges of being a teenage girl, or managing the pressures of athletics. They described her as a safe place for their student to turn to and expressed how thankful they are to have someone like her in our district.

Her students feel that same impact. One student shared, “Miss Carrie makes me feel seen,” while another described her as one of the nicest and most positive teachers they have ever had, sharing that she can make them smile even on a bad day.

Carrie's impact extends far beyond the library. Whether she is serving as our librarian, leading yearbook, teaching English, or capturing special moments that students and families can treasure for years to come, she brings enthusiasm and heart to everything she does.

These nominations highlight so many of the qualities that make Carrie a true Warrior:
🧡 Student-Centered – Makes students feel seen, valued, and supported.
🖤 Compassionate – Provides a caring, welcoming presence students can turn to when they need help.
🧡 Dedicated – Goes above and beyond in her many roles to support students and Warren High School.
🖤 Positive – Brings sunshine, encouragement, and a smile that can turn someone's day around.
🧡 Creative and Innovative – Uses her talents in the library, classroom, and yearbook to create meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
🖤 Respectful – Treats students with kindness and helps them feel comfortable being themselves.
🧡 Warrior Spirit – Demonstrates pride, commitment, and a servant's heart in everything she does.

Carrie, thank you for being a ray of sunshine at Warren High School and for helping our students feel seen, supported, and cared for. The impact you make reaches far beyond your job title, and we are grateful for all you bring to the Warren Warrior family!

Make a Place for Unfinished Projects

Whether it's a colored map of Argentina or a science project involving lots of steps, a school project can sometimes take more than one work session to complete. If students have to get out all the necessary materials before starting work on a project—and then put them all away when they're finished—they may not get around to working on the project at all.

You don't want school projects spread all over your home for weeks at a time. But you also don't want to make it so hard to start or continue working on a project that your child puts everything off until the last weekend and then has to struggle to do a three-week project in two days.

Designate a space (a shelf on a bookcase, a box in a closet) where your child can store those unfinished projects and all the supplies needed to complete them. That way, it will be easier for your elementary schooler to work on the project in shorter periods of time spread over several days or weeks.

🇺🇸❤️ A LITTLE SUPPORT GOES A LONG WAY! ❤️🇺🇸

Our 4th and 5th graders showed what it means to support one another in a truly special way! Our students wrote heartfelt letters of encouragement to our Dean of Students, Mrs. Ringo’s son, as he prepared to begin The Crucible — his final challenge before becoming a United States Marine.

PFC Tristan Ringo came to visit Warren Elementary and meet the amazing students who took the time to write him letters of support. It was a special opportunity for our students to meet someone who is working hard to achieve such an incredible accomplishment and to see firsthand how a few kind words can make a difference.

We are so proud of PFC Tristan Ringo and his dedication, courage, and commitment to serving our country! Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your journey. We are cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️🦅🇺🇸
