As part of the ribbon cutting celebration for the Warrenton Community Library, we're hosting a coloring contest!

All ages are welcome to participate, and the winner gets a $25 gift card to a Warrenton business of their choice. Stop by the library to grab the official coloring page, and return your entry by Oct. 10.

Join us TOMORROW (Wednesday, October 7th 2026) at 10:30am for our very first Storytime with Melissa in our new Youth Programming room! Enjoy a different theme each storytime- like food, friends, animals, weather, or seasons. This week's theme is music and rhymes! Then at 11:00am, stop in (or stay for!) our first free play group and enjoy the library’s collection of blocks, cars, trains, dress up clothes, play kitchen items, and more.

Caregivers are asked to actively participate with children in movement, songs, and modeling active listening. Toys will be available during the play group following storytime. Caregivers and children are expected to help pick up the toys they were using when they are done playing and keep the youth programming room ready for fun next time!

Today's the day! We are so excited to see everyone and welcome our community back. We hope you'll join us for our GRAND OPENING PARTY on Saturday, Oct. 3 2026 at 10:30am

We are open starting Tuesday September 29th 2026 for a regular hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

EXCITING NEWS! The Warrenton Community Library is reopening tomorrow (9/29) -- and we're having a ribbon cutting and community celebration on Saturday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m.

"Library After Dark" is back -- and in a new location!

In case you didn't hear, the Warrenton Community Library has moved across the street (147 S. Main Avenue), and the new building has a separate room just for special events and author talks. We're so excited to welcome author Tami J. Whitmore on October 10 at 4 p.m. for our inaugural "Library After Dark" in the new library!

Mark your calendars, the Warrenton Community Library will be REOPENING on Tuesday, September 29th at 10:00am! We are so excited to resume regular operations, and we have missed our wonderful community.

Regular library hours will be resuming upon reopening, with the library open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. On Fridays, the library will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm, and will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays.

If you received notices during our closure regarding Warrenton materials being overdue or acruing fines, please disregard them. Library materials due during our closure will be accepted when we reopen, with fines forgiven. If you have an outstanding fine or overdue notice, please reach out to the library at (503-) 861-8156 or by email ([email protected]) to have them resolved.

The Warrenton Community Library has moved to its new location at 147 S. Main Ave! There’s still a lot to do before we reopen in September with contractors, painters, furnishings, and programming planning, but we’re working hard to make it worth the wait.

Thank you for the past amazing 9 years in our old location. We’re excited to turn the page and start our next chapter!

Library staff is available to answer and return phone calls, however the new building will not be open to the public until renovations are complete.

Storytime in the park will continue through August as we prepare our new location for our grand opening in early September. Join Melissa for 3 stories on a fun new theme every Wednesday at 10:30am at Robinson Community Park! Please bring your own blanket, the grass is often damp. If you have summer reading logs to turn in or summer reading prizes to collect, Melissa's summer reading table can be found in the back parking lot of our new building, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm! Look for the open door!

We hope that you'll join us tomorrow (Friday, 7/31) at 1:00pm at the Warrenton Grade School cafeteria for an exciting Cormie Encounter with our friends from the Wildlife Center of the North Coast! Get up close and personal with Cormie, a double-crested cormorant, and learn more about this beautiful local wildlife ambassador. This experience is free! Everyone is welcome, no library card needed.
