Today we had the opportunity to attend the Ridgecrest Veterans Stand Down!

Our Prevention team spent the day connecting with veterans, families, community partners, and local organizations while sharing resources and information about the services available in Kern County. 💙

We’re grateful to have been part of an event dedicated to supporting and honoring those who have served. 🇺🇸

🎬 Join us for a FREE community screening of La Estrella!
 
Drug Free Kern invites you to an educational screening of La Estrella, a bilingual short film that opens the conversation around family, mental health, counterfeit prescription pills, and fentanyl.
 
The approximately 20-minute screening will be followed by a guided discussion.

On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose, support those who are grieving, and recognize that every life matters. 💜

An overdose can happen to anyone. Knowing the signs, carrying naloxone (Narcan®), and having open conversations about substance use can help save lives.
