To celebrate a century of youth leadership, the Waseca County Historical Society will be featuring a dedicated exhibit showcasing the rich legacy of Waseca County 4-H. Community members who have historic 4-H memorabilia are invited to loan their items for the display.

The Historical Society and Extension Office are looking to collect:
- Historic 4-H projects and fair exhibits
- Vintage uniforms, apparel, or club items
- Accompanying stories or written memories and photos explaining the history behind the item.

Residents willing to loan items for the exhibit should drop them off directly at the Waseca County Extension Office or WCHS along with the owner's contact details and the story behind the piece, along with a photo if available.

Please contact WCHS at 507-835-7700 or the Extension Office at 507-835-0600 with questions

Centennial Spotlight:
Celebrating National 4-H Week in Waseca County!

As we celebrate National 4-H Week during our centennial year, we love looking back at how Waseca County and Minnesota have celebrated throughout the decades!

Turn back the clock to 1979: Minnesota Governor Al Quie officially proclaimed October 7–13 as National 4-H Week. The executive action honored the incredible involvement of youth across the state 4-H Youth Development program.

From 1979, through the 2002 state centennial, to our very own 100th anniversary today, the impact of the green clover in our community remains as strong as ever!
