We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pharis Harvey, a visionary champion for labor rights, social justice, and one of the founding co-chairs of the Child Labor Coalition. His lifelong dedication to protecting workers and children shaped movements around the world and leaves a legacy that will continue to guide this work for generations.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Pharis’s family, loved ones, and all who had the honor of working alongside him. We are forever grateful for the foundation he helped build and will carry his mission forward with love and resolve.

We are forever grateful. We mourn his passing and honor the extraordinary legacy he leaves behind.

In my drawing, "The Harvest" refers to the achievement of the young woman who is the daughter of an immigrant mother and was able to complete her studies thanks to her mother's sacrifice and hard work. "The Echoes" represents the change in the daughter's life and how it is reflected in having a better future.

Let's congratulate Kimberly, 2nd place winner in the category of Art: Ages 10-13.

My drawing includes the theme of The Echoes of the Harvest because there are children working in the fields, and there are also vegetables. I am very grateful for the farmworkers who work many hours under the sun.
