Happy Korean American Day! 미주 한인의 날을 축하합니다!

Now 90 members strong, CKASA consists of Korean American staff in every position from Chiefs of Staff to Chief Counsels, to Legislative Assistants and Schedulers.

Whether it’s speaking to the next generation of Korean American students about public service or attending professional events to build their network, we are so proud of our CKASA members who have volunteered their time to pay it forward—yielding a growing, more vibrant Korean American community on Capitol Hill every year.

We remain committed to building out our representation on Capitol Hill and across public service.🇺🇸🇰🇷

Last night, CKASA members attended a celebration of 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴: 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 at the National Museum of Asian Art — the largest and most comprehensive presentation of Korean art ever mounted at the museum. The exhibition spans 1,500 years and reflects Korea’s deep cultural heritage.

Following the celebration, CKASA members joined the Embassy of Korea for some 치맥 at Bonchon. It was a night full of art, culture, and delicious food!

Nothing beats a warm cup of 라면 on a crisp autumn day. 🍜 We’re grateful to all the hardworking staffers who came out — and who keep our government running every day.

Thank you to , our sponsor and one of the first Korean American women elected to Congress, for taking the time to speak to CKASA, RAASA, and members this week.

As a former congressional staffer, Rep. Kim shared her journey running for office and reflected on what it means to serve and represent her community in Congress. Her story inspires us all.
