Members of Engine 2 and Rescue 1 Platoon # 4 along with Engine 6 and Truck 4 paid respects at the Call Box of Lt McRae who died in the Line of Duty on May 6th 2015. Lt McRae a Former Rescue 1 Technician. Continue to Rest in Peace.

Yesterday morning, members of Rescue Squad 1 platoon #4 took time out of their day to inspect and repair dozens of Streamlight Vulcan handlights so that they may be returned to service in the department.

The officers & members of the Chinatown Fire & Rescue Co. would like to extend our sincerest condolences & sympathies to our brothers & sisters in Frederickburg VA as they deal with the loss of Master Technician Donnie Wedding. Donnie was once a fireman with the District of Columbia, and Rescue Squad 1 proudly displays his artwork in thier company office.

A gentleman who recently suffered a medical emergency took the time to visit DC’s Bravest Chinatown firehouse where Medic 2 is located, and thanked the crew with cookies.
It always warms our hearts to meet those we had the opportunity to help.
