We're enjoying clear blue skies in our region today! Let's celebrate the achievement of meeting federal ozone standards as we continue to make strides in air quality improvement.

Historic milestone! The DMV region is officially meeting the 2015 federal ozone standard. We also recorded a positive 2026 season with just four Code Orange days and one Code Red. At National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board today, we received a revised plan for the I-495 Southside Express Lanes Study from Virginia Transportation Secretary Donohue. There are great improvements but we still have more work to do.
